Warranty
What a written warranty says
The terms are in your contract. This is what to look for.
Our workmanship
A written warranty on how the work was done. Its length and what it covers are in your contract, and we go through them before you sign.
The manufacturer's material warranty
Shingles, windows and siding come with their maker's own warranty. It comes from the maker, with its own terms, and we hand you the paperwork.
What neither covers
A later storm. That's a new claim with your insurer.
Checking a contractor
After a storm, strangers knock. Here is how to check anyone, including us.
What should I ask a contractor for?
Their state registration number, a certificate of insurance sent from their insurer, a street address and the names of people they've worked for.
Is it a warning sign if they ask for the full price up front?
Yes. A deposit to order materials is normal. The rest follows the work.
What about someone who knocks on my door?
You're free to say no. Take a card, check the registration and call back if you want to.
Ask for a certificate
We'll send the certificate of insurance to you or your lender.
